Step 1

Patient Screening & Eligibility

Every patient completes a comprehensive health assessment covering medical history, current medications, allergies, and weight loss goals. Our physicians evaluate:

  • BMI eligibility: BMI ≥30, or BMI ≥25 with weight-related comorbidities (BMI 25–26.9 is below FDA label and prescribed at provider discretion; BMI under 25 may be considered in cases of abnormal weight gain at provider discretion)
  • Contraindication screening: personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN 2
  • Drug interaction review: current medications including insulin, sulfonylureas, and oral contraceptives
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding status
  • History of pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, or kidney impairment
  • Mental health history including eating disorders

If GLP-1 medication isn't appropriate, you won't be charged for the membership.

Step 2

Medication Selection

Your physician selects from five FDA-approved brand-name GLP-1 medications based on your health profile, preferences, and goals:

Foundayo™

Oral • No food/water restrictions • $149/mo

Oral Wegovy®

Oral • Empty stomach dosing • $149/mo

Wegovy®

Weekly injection • CV risk reduction • $199/mo

Zepbound® Vials

Weekly injection • Highest efficacy • $299/mo

Zepbound® KwikPen

Pre-filled pen • No vials/syringes • $299/mo

We never prescribe compounded alternatives. All medications are fulfilled directly by the manufacturer through NovoCare (Novo Nordisk) or LillyDirect (Eli Lilly).

Step 3

Titration & Ongoing Care

All GLP-1 medications follow a gradual dose escalation (titration) schedule to minimize side effects. Your physician follows manufacturer-recommended titration protocols and adjusts based on your individual response.

  • Start at the lowest available dose for 4 weeks
  • Gradual dose increases at prescribed intervals
  • Physician check-in at every dosage change
  • Side effect monitoring with proactive management
  • Dosage adjustment or medication switching if needed
  • Refill coordination through manufacturer programs
  • Unlimited provider messaging between check-ins

Safety Monitoring

Your Imbue Health physician continuously monitors for adverse effects and contraindications. Patients are instructed to report any of the following immediately:

  • Severe or persistent abdominal pain (possible pancreatitis)
  • Changes in vision (possible diabetic retinopathy)
  • Signs of thyroid tumors (neck lump, hoarseness, difficulty swallowing)
  • Signs of kidney problems (decreased urination, swelling)
  • Severe allergic reaction (rash, difficulty breathing)
  • Gallbladder symptoms (upper right abdominal pain after eating)
